We use QA API approach to interact with the project internal data. This way gives you following advantages:
  • test scripts don't require the project environment,
  • testers don't need to have a knowledge about the project source code to write automated tests,
  • testers don't have an access to the project sources,
  • testers can use QA API methods as helpers in manual testing.
